Loved staying here. I'm travelling alone and couldn't have been made feel more welcome. Everyone was so friendly and helpful - any time you sit down in the foyer they bring you tea! The tours they offer through the hotel are good value and good quality, which saved me a bit of time shopping around as I'm on a strict itinerary to get down south. Would really recommend staying here.

We stayed at the Canh Dieu hotel with the two of us in my room. We've received a warm welcome with drinks while our luggage was taken to our room. The hotel arranged -and paid) transport from the bus station and arranged a perfect trip for us on the Ninh binh city. The elevator is charmingly tiny, but modern and safe.The rooms here are basic but very clean, the pillows were very comfy!Our room was a little small but there are bigger rooms available. Staff here are friendly too! Laundry service is cheap and good.

The Hotel is close to all major transport stations.

The staff go out of there way to make your stay good.

The hotel staff were very very nice and couldnt do enough to help with any request, no matter how small. The room where clean and cosy, the food served is very nice and great value. Its also possible to rent a motorcycle which we did. This is quite chaep and a great way to see some of the near by sights. Overall, a very happy stay. We tried to tip the staff when we where leaving but they just wouldnt accept it. Also they bought our tickets for the overnight train (we paid them of course) to Hue as we where a bit confused as to what was available and they gave us a lift to the train station.

They only issue we had was the hotels location. Its right behind the train station so every train that comes and goes can be heard. We mentioned the noise to the staff and where moved to a different room the second day. The noise was still there but a little less so. We used ear plugs. This location to the train station was great when we where leaving as it was a short two minute bike ride away.

Well, where do I start. The people who run this hotel were brilliant. Although they spoke little english, they went out of their way to help us wherever possible. We rented Scooters from them (only US$4 a day), but is was pouring rain, before we knew it, they were offering us their own personal raincoats. Later that night the town was hit by a storm which cut power to the entire town. They waited patiently in the dark for us to come back from dinner, before bringing us a candle so we could see. It was the little things that they did so well, that make such a big difference.

Not that it was a problem for us, I must let fellow travellers know that it is located next to the Train station, so you will hear an occasional blast of the horn, but please do not let this put you off. This is a lovely place to stay.

Staff extremly friendly. Breakfast very big all one needs/wants in the morning. (The banana pancakes are just the best, make sure you do try them!) The rooms are huge (we booked the one with a balcony) and everything is nice, clean and quiet room, clean. Cannot fault anything in this hotel, one worth visiting.

The hotel is in a centre of Ninh Binh. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel stuff is very friendly and helpfull. I would recommend this hotel.

I booked three nights at Canh Dieu Hotel because of the favorable reviews on your web site. I am from U.S.A and traveling for 5 months in Vietnam. Lihn Bihn is very accessible to Tam Coc as well as Hoa Lu and Van Long Nature Reserve, which is like a little Halong Bay without the commercialism. So peaceful. The Tran family that runs the hotel really goes out fo their way to make guests feel welcome. When you arrive you will be offered hot tea, or fresh orange juice. I rented a bicycle from them to go to TWm Coc for the day, andarranged a car for the day to go to Hoa Lu, Floating Island fishing village, and Van Long from the hotel. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Canh Dieu if you are wanting to get away from the chaos of Hanoi and the tour that go from Hanoi.

The family who runs this hotel is very kind, helpful and extremily polite. Contact with clients (done by son and daughter) is perfect. They speak more than enough english (wich is not the case in a lot of touristfacilities in Vietnam). They manage this hotel perfectly. The trains passing by (hotel located next to the railroad) from time to time are definitely no problem. They brought us to the pick up place for the bus themselves. Note : when the bus to Hue arrived, the son suddenly showed up with my credit card, wich I had left at the hotel after checking out. He saved me from a lot of trouble.

My husband and I stayed stayed at Canh Dieu. The breakfast was adequate, the rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable with cosy bedding and lovely warm blankets - essential for me. We will come back !

The hotel restaurant was cheap and good. Every morning we had free water, plus a fruit cocktail at dinner

I booked the hotel via email and had constant contact with Mr Hung, nothing was ever any trouble.Our room was great nice and with a balcony, lovely clean and tidy.Breakfast is standard, same as you get anywhere. The girls will even make you a nice cup of tea when you get back from trekking which was lovely, nothing was any bother to them....Great staff

Nice hotel. Staff are helpful and accomodating. I mostly remember this hotel by the great beds!. Mini bar (soft drinks/water) as cheap as in the shops. Breakfast included. Cheaper than the hotels a few doors away. 5-10 mins walk into the center city. 10-15 min walk to bus station (we walked 45 mins, easy mostly pavement but bring sunscreen/hat). We enjoyed it and highly recommend this hotel for every one.

The locatation, right next to the train traks, made the back rooms a bit noisy during the night.

The location is very convenient if you need access to the train station. Breakfast was decent and included in the price and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Laundry services were quick and reasonably priced.

Although being close to the train station is good when you are arriving or leaving, it can be quite loud when you are trying to sleep.

The hotel has the best service in Vietnam. Canh Dieu is a family run hotel. They are so helpfull. We will never forget these kind people from Ninh Binh.
